Loch Luna kayaking adventure
- Duration: 3 Days
- Location: Kingston on Murray
- Product code: PXVA18
Overview:
Your tour guide has a strong connection with and intimate knowledge of the area, having lived and worked on the River Murray for over 30 years, and would love to share it with you.
Be wowed as you glide through the Chambers and Nockburra Creek canoe trails around the world-renowned and amazing Loch Luna Game Reserve. The secret narrow creeks, majestic gums, weeping willows and abundant wildlife make this a kayaking paradise! Our journey continues downstream through Banrock Creek to visit the Overland Corner Hotel and Museum where we will pull up our kayaks for dinner and explore the rich history.
Loch Luna Game Reserve is a haven for diverse and abundant wildlife. Shallow swamps provide important habitats for many aquatic birds and mammals, including spoonbills and the rare white bellied sea eagle. You will hear the mating calls of the small but loud Darter bird and the deep sounds of the Banjo frogs. As we venture out for our sunset paddle, the river comes alive with jumping fish and unusual sounds! You will also hear about a man called Possum who roamed the River Murray living off the land for over 50 years.
Step back in time when you board the 111 year old PS Industry for a cruise on the River Murray and finish the tour with lunch at the Riverland Wine Centre.
